Are you sick of your inbox being clogged up with WordPress “new comment” emails?

If so, then this application is for you!

WordPress Notifier is a freeware application that alerts you when new unapproved comments are posted on your WordPress blog.

It lives in the Mac OS X Status Bar and displays the current unapproved comment count.

WordPress Notifier will work with WordPress version 2.7 or later and with WordPress.com. WordPress MU is not supported at this time.

Devilspie

Bevor ich das wieder vergessen tacker ich das mal hier fest.

Devilspie {en} ist ein Fenstererkennungs-Programm, welches die Funktionalität von Fenstermanagern erweitern kann. Inspiriert vom Sawfish’s “Matched Windows” Feature erkennt es Fenster, wenn sie geöffnet werden und verändert diese je nach Einstellung.

Auf meinem Desktop hat Devilspie folgende Aufgaben:

  • Der Webbrowser startet immer auf der 3. Arbeitsfläche und erscheint nicht in der Taskliste
  • Xchat hat ein Systray-Plugin, startet immer auf der 6. Arbeitsfläche und erscheint nicht in der Taskliste
  • der RSS-Reader Liferea braucht auch nicht in der Taskliste zu erscheinen

Natürlich kann Devilspie noch mehr …
